Amazon plans to remove or replace 500,000 jobs with robots in the US which is going to happen over period of the next 10 years so. The whole target is to ensure that there is reduction in cost, increase in efficiency and also create a technical improvement but it also raise this concerns about about the future of how the traditional work will look like.
Amazon is one of the largest employers in the United States but it is preparing for a major shift as it see how the warehouses would be used to work according to the internal documents ciruclated inside the company also interviews which have been givento New York Times. There is news that the companies intending to replace more than half a million jobs with robot over the next 10 years . Amazon has grown rapidly now it is around 1.2 million employees but the company believe that automation with lead to not higher more than 160000 additional people by 2027.
