Ways to Add Bank Account to Paypal
To add, remove or replace your bank account, directly go to your Wallet.
If you run into any issue when trying to add, remove or replace a bank account, here are some possible reasons behind it:
Unable to add bank account
- The bank account is already registered to another PayPal account.
- Your bank account is already linked to another PayPal account.
- Your PayPal account is limited.
- The name on your bank account doesn’t match the name on your PayPal account.
Unable to remove bank account
- There may be an order or payment that is pending or still processing.
- Your PayPal account is limited.
- It’s your primary bank account. Before removing it, you’d need to have another bank account linked to PayPal and set it as your new primary bank account.
Add bank account to Paypal
From your computer, here’s how:
- Click Wallet at the top of the page.
- Click the bank you want to remove.
- Click Remove bank.
From your PayPal app, here’s how:
- Tap the Settings icon at the top right of the screen.
- Tap Banks and Cards.
- Tap the bank you want to remove.
- Click Remove Bank.
If you’re removing your only bank account attached to PayPal, you must choose a new primary bank.
